Ronaldinho Out, Adriano In For Brazil
Troubled Inter striker Adriano has been called to the Brazilian national team by Carlos Dunga, while new Milan star Ronaldinho and Juve's Amauri have been kept out.
It turns out that Ronaldinho's goal against Napoli last Sunday, though some still insist it was an own goal, was not enough for the 2005 Ballon D'Or winner to be called back to the Brazilian national team.
The AC Milan star has been left out of coach Carlos Dunga's list of players for the upcoming friendly against Portugal on 19 November. Juventus striker Amauri has also been excluded, which means he could still potentially opt to play for the Italian national team.
As expected, Inter's Adriano, who has been kept out of the team's recent matches by coach Jose Mourinho as punishment for his partying shenanigans, has been called up because Dunga wants to make sure he gets back into shape. There have even been rumours that the coach will pay a visit to Inter's training center to discuss the player's situation with Mourinho.
Other Serie A players included in the list are goalkeepers Alexandre Doni and Julio Cesar, respectively of Roma and Inter, Kaká, Amantino Mancini, Maicon, and Alexandree Pato.
Here is the full list:
Goalkeepers: Doni, Julio Cesar.
Defenders: Dani Alves, Klber, Lucio, Luisao, Maicon, Marcelo, Miranda, Thiago Silva.
Midfielders: Alex, Anderson, Diego, Elano, Gilberto Silva, Josuè, Mancini, Kakà.
Strikers: Adriano, Luis Fabiano, Pato, Robinho.
