Chelsea's Alex Could Join John Terry With A Three-Match Ban
John Terry's poor challenge on Leon Osman reduced Chelsea to ten men during the first half of a game the Blues eventually drew 0-0 with Everton.
Worse than missing out on a couple of points, though, is the fact that Branislav Ivanovic could soon be the only centre-back available to boss Luiz Felipe Scolari, as Ricardo Carvalho is still short of fitness.
Skipper Terry's red will not be appealed, so he will miss three games, and it has now emerged that stopper Alex could be banned for the same duration for a second half-stamp on Tim Cahill.
The Football Association are set to use television evidence to decide whether or not the 26-year-old is guilty of violent conduct, even though referee Phil Dowd and his assistants missed the incident at the time.
An FA spokesman affirmed: "If a referee misses a particular incident, we can ask the him to look at video footage of it and ask what he would have done had he seen it."
Dismissed Terry told the Daily Mail: "It was hard for the ref to see exactly what happened and there was a lot of noise. It makes it more difficult and he made a decision.
"We have to live with that. We could have been top of the league again, but it's a good point."
Scolari was too angry to give his take on the Blues' meltdown after the game.
Scolari will now be without Terry for three matches - the Barclays Premier League matches against West Bromwich and Fulham and the FA Cup tie with Southend United. აუ რა ცოტა დააკლდა მეოთხე მატჩი ტრაფორდზე აქვთ
