Milan president Silvio Berlusconi does not want to confirm that Riccardo Kaka will leave the club before Sunday, when he will be discussing the Brazilian player's future.
Berlusconi wants to assess the situation before he throws in the towel as he is still hoping that he can keep the player for more years to come.
"On Sunday we shall have a transfer meeting, in which we will decide Ricky's future," declared the Milan president to Milan Channel. "It's not certain that he leaves."
Berlusconi was then asked who would be signed with the money received from the Kaka sale.
"A striker would arrive," he continued. "Robinho? No. Malouda? Neither. Eto'o? It's difficult."
The latest indications are that Milan want to sign Juventus striker David Trezeguet, with his agent, Antonio Caliendo, hinting that more will be known after this evening.
"I have an appointment with the Bianconeri's director this evening," declared the player's agent to Radio Kiss Kiss.
"David still has two years of contract, but I want to know from the club their intentions about my client. Then a fundamental opinion will need to be expressed by the coach."
The Bianconeri will not let go their French striker for less than €12m and will not resort to an exchange of players.
