Mancini: We're ready for biggest five games in City's historyRoberto Mancini has hailed Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez as one of the world's top three players along with Wayne Rooney and Lionel Messi.
Tevez goes into tomorrow's Manchester derby against former club United having scored 28 goals this season and City boss Mancini said he deserved to be ranked alongside Rooney and Messi.
"Carlos is a top striker," said Mancini. "For me he is right at the top. Carlos, Rooney and Messi are the top players in the world right now.
"I hope Carlos plays well against United, like he has done in other games for us. He played for United for two years and did well for them, but we're content that he is now with us."
Mancini told his players, who are chasing a Champions League spot for the first time, to prepare for the biggest five games in their history - starting with United.
"The last month has been fantastic for us in terms of our results," said Mancini. "But we now have five games, maybe the most important in our history. We hope we can get fourth spot."
