Romelu Lukaku Excited About Real Madrid Interest
In an interview published by Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Anderlecht wonderkid Romelu Lukaku has expressed his excitement over news linking him with a move to Real Madrid in the near future.
A: Do you keep thinking about Real Madrid?
Q: Saying no to Real Madrid and other interesting offers that I had received was not easy, but my father decided it was best for me to continue studying at Anderlecht for one more year.
Q: Do you have any regrets when you see young players such as Canales, Khedira and Özil take the lead at Real Madrid ?
A: I do not deny that I would like to imitate them, but all comes in time.
Q: Does Real Madrid’s offer interest you more than that of Chelsea and Inter Milan ?
A: My father and my club deal with such issues, but if I had my way I would go to Real Madrid because it is the team that interests me most.
Q: Do you think they’ll try to sign you again?
A: I do not know. I, for one, am willing to wait for them.
Q: Jose Mourinho believes you deserve a chance.
A: And I thank him for that. I have read good things he said about me, and I can only say that he is a great coach who has succeeded in Porto, Chelsea and Inter. As a footballer I can only promise hard work.
Q: Did you talk to Mourinho or someone from Real Madrid?
A: No.
Q: And your father?
A: No comment.
