ATLETICO MADRID have given Chelsea and Manchester City two weeks to sign Sergio Aguero.
The Premier League giants are battling to sign the 22-year-old striker but face competition from Italian side Juventus.
However, Atletico general manager Miguel Angel Gil Marin ruled Real Madrid out of the running after speaking to their president, Florentino Perez.
Gil Marin said: "Aguero is not going to go to Real Madrid.
"I called Florentino to ask him if we could maintain this commitment to not being hostile and he agreed.
"Either a club — that is not Real Madrid — comes in and puts £40million on the table or he stays at Atletico Madrid. We don't want to negotiate with anyone.
"We don't have any offers, only a fax from Juventus saying they want to negotiate.
"It is a letter saying they are keen to negotiate, but Atletico don't want to negotiate.
"We want a decision before June 15 because it is a decision that has huge implications on our sporting plan."
Argentina international Aguero — nicknamed Kun — has scored 74 goals in 175 league games since joining Atletico from Independiente five years ago.
