Moratti: "Calciopoli? Same feeling as always"
MILAN - As he left Nerazzurri headquarters, president Massimo Moratti answered some of the waiting journalists' questions.
You can read the full version of the brief interview here on inter.it:
President, are you happy that Gian Piero Gasperini is your new coach?
"Absolutely."
Are Inter going to sign Rodrigo Palacio?
"No, listen, I really haven't had the chance to speak about such matters."
Franco Capozucca has entered Inter headquarters.
"I didn't see him, I was told about it. That's all. I think he was waiting for Branca."
Now that you have your new coach in place, can we talk about transfers?
"Yes, we will but not today. We had to introduce the coach and speak with him about his ideas and his role."
Would it be right to day that Gasperini has expressly asked for Palacio?
"No, not at all. Absolutely not."
What can you tell us about Maicon?
"What do you want me to tell you about Maicon? We didn't speak about signings or player sales. Discussing the coach's role was far too important today to be talking about the players as well; that will come later."
The sentence on Calciopoli is due any day now: do you have a good feeling about it?
"I've always had the same feeling. I am absolutely convinced that we have nothing to do with Calciopoli so I hope and I believe that justice will run its path."
