BECKHAM TO FACE THE BLUES
Posted on: Mon 09 Jul 2012
He may not have made the Great Britain Olympic squad but David Beckham will be facing the Blues this summer after being named in the MLS All-Star XI that meets Chelsea in Philadelphia on July 25.
The former England captain will be joined in that side by ex-Arsenal forward Thierry Henry and Landon Donovan, who is making a record 12th All-Star game appearance and has previously played against us in the Premier League for Everton.
Also featuring are former Watford defender and USA international Jay DeMerit and current MLS MVP Dwayne De Rosario.
The All-Star game at PPL Park is already sold out, but will be shown live on Chelsea TV to fans across the world.
It will be the third game of four on our US tour, following matches in Seattle and New York, and preceding the final one in Miami.
