15/8/2012: Some news from Spain as Marca insists Luka Modric's proposed move to Real Madrid is finally set to go ahead for €32million plus an amount of add-ons still to be determined (reportedy between €6m and €8m). The same newspaper also insists another player linked to United, Nuri Sahin, will join a Barclays Premier League club on loan. The Turkey international wants to join Arsenal but Jose Mourinho would prefer him to join Liverpool.
15/8/2012: Moussa Dembele has been speaking to the media whilst on international duty with Belgium. The midfielder admits there has been contact with his agent after being linked to United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Fiorentina and others but adds in Gazet van Antwerpen: "I really cannot say how likely it is that I stay. I have a two-year contract at Fulham - one year plus a one-year option."
15/8/2012: Igor Lichnovsky, a team-mate of Angelo Henriquez's at Universidad de Chile,believes the striker will be a hit at Old Trafford if he completes a move to Manchester. "We are very happy for Angelo," he told Radio Bio Bio. "We expect him to do well. He deserves it for what he did in the Copa Libertadores and because of the person he is. This is very important for the squad as it serves so spread encouragement to the rest of the team."
15/8/2012: The Daily Mirror believes Robin van Persie is edging towards a move to United for a fee in excess of £20million after Arsenal "officially began negotiations" with the Reds. The Daily Telegraph feels the price is much less but United have raised an initial offer of £12million and a compromise could be reached.
