Manchester United are set to announce the signings Ezequiel Garay and Kevin Strootman this week.
A deal worth £17m for the Argentinian defender is to be completed. Garay has been looking for property in the Cheshire area, with the Argentine defender set to finalise his move from Benfica.
Kevin Strootman will follow Garay to Old Trafford. Strootman now a regular in the Dutch national team is keen on a move to the champions and PSV will command a fee of £15m from United for the Dutch Under-21 captain.
United will also seek to make an increased bid for Everton left-back Leighton Baines, after having an initial £10m bid rejected.
United will continue to hold talks with Barcelona for Thiago Alcântara, hoping to reach an agreement with the Spanish champions by the end of the week, as he returns from holiday, it will be down to him.
