Instead, Jurgen Klopp will replace his Belgian/German misfits with England’s number one, who was recently a misfit but isn’t anymore. (Until he becomes one again.)
One man who could stand between Hart and Premier League redemption is Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford, who is also said to be on Klopp’s radar but would probably be more expensive.
Liverpool are also considering a move for Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler, says the Times. The 23-year-old had been tipped to move to Paris Saint-Germain but Klopp is set to “test the water” with a bid. Meanwhile, Draxler’s former stalker Arsene Wenger seems to have completely lost interest, as if he’s been put off after seeing some photos of the winger on Facebook where he looks fat.
Southampton have attempted to scare off their Premier League rivals from signing Virgil van Dijk by putting a £45m price tag on his head (Squawka). But they didn’t think that through properly, but it has just prompted Manchester City – for whom money means nothing – to offer £50m for the Dutch defender (Mail).
