Frank Lampard has promised to overhaul Chelsea’s leaky defence and believes that his squad needs a major revamp ahead of the next season.
According to The Times, Chelsea have put nine players up for sale - including former PFA Player of the Year N'Golo Kante.
Chelsea’s business in the transfer window this summer will also depend on the departures of some current players, as reported earlier by The Telegraph.
Frank Lampard is willing to let go of five defenders and will accelerate plans to try to sign Ben Chilwell.
The report claims that Kante, who has started just 23 games this season due to an injury-hit campaign, has been made available despite being a key part of Chelsea’s midfield when fit.
Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley are also on the list of players to be offloaded as Lampard also wants to sign a goalkeeper and a centre-back.
