Tchouaméni has several players' resemblance and ability in him.
1. He disguises his line splitting forward passes like Busquets after giving the impression he's going to make a back pass, but instead just fizzes it forward without even looking much and its right on target and ignites Monaco's attack immediately. That ability when I saw that the very first time watching him, was an instant conviction to me that he's special because for me, defensive juggernauts pulling off passes of such manner is something to behold.
2. He reminds of Pogba also in the manner he hits his long passes, and the way he maneuver with the ball at his feet, his frame is also like Pogba. Tall, lean, great posture.
3. Ngole Kante? That's exactly who Aurelien Tchouameni scans the midfield and whats going on around and behind him like. He does that at an expert level as well for a 22 year old. Difference is, Tchouameni is more explosive than Kante with faster reaction time and his super long legs which makes him the best interceptor in the world and best tackler in the world, with some help from great positioning and timing and anticipation. Look at how he destroyed Gavi when Gavi arrived in the penalty box with the ball at his feet. Tchouameni cleanly and emphatically won the ball off Gavi and leave Gavi rolling on the ground.
4. Yaya Toure/Xavi Alonso. Although not his greatest strength yet but the quality is clearly there, Aurelien can hit and score those long range strikes like Yaya and Alonso. However, his strikes are more powerful than both.
