The number of regular forces killed by the explosion targeting the military base (motor vehicle department) by Harasta 2 days ago has risen to 68 soldiers.
The dead include 13 officers, including 3 generals and 1 brigadier general. The explosion led to the complete collapse of the building, as well as a nearby building. The number of dead is likely to rise due to the large number of injured. It is yet to be known the method in which the blast happened, with conflicting reports of tunnels being dug under the building and explosives planted or the infiltration of the armed forces to reach to the building. Sources have told the SOHR that the expected number of regular forces casualties would have reached the hundreds if the explosion happened an hour before.

Activists reported that the ISIS oublicly executed 2 Syrian Kurds, by cutting their throats, in the market place of Tal Abyad city. The ISIS claimed that the 2 men were captive fighters from the YPg who were detained during clashes in Ras al-Ein (Serekaniyeh). Clashes took place between the ISIS, al-Nusra and allied rebels against the YPG by the villages of Sosak and Bir Kano, west of Tal Abyad city, Hasakah province: At least 8 people were documented as dead in Reef Tal Tamer city, the dead include volunteers manning YPG checkpoints, civilians and 2 fighters. The situation remains unclear but it comes after ISIS, Nusra and rebel attack on the villages of Gheibash and Asfuriya in the south west of Tal Tamer.

Reef Dimashq: 2 large suicide car bombs rocked al-Nabak city, they targeted the Jallab checkpoint and the area by the military security branch. The suicide bombers were from the Islamic state of Iraq and al-sham (ISIS). Initial reports of dead and injured amid regime forces. the area is witnessing clashes between regime forces and the ISIS, al-Nusra and 2 rebel groups supporting them; they attacked regime positions in the city of Deir Attiya and on the Attiya - Nabak road; as well as a symbolic attack on a hill in which a statue of Hafez al-Assad is situated. This comes one day after the ISIS and al-Nusra vowed to return and fight after regime forces took control of Qara city in the Qalamoun. Regime forces are bombarding the farmland around Deir Attiya city, with clashes taking place in parts of the city.; airforce bombardment on rebel positions in the city.
