5) —May God permit the well-being of the “add al-himma (“agent of
the task” [?]) to endure. His task [being]
6) to renew the order regarding the noble abbot Lucas,
7) instructor of the Monastery of the Holy Cross, regarding his monks
and the entire community
8) of monasteries associated with the Georgians and their foundations
Dayr al-Ka'kùl, al-Qa†amùn and others
9) as well as the kindness to their peasants and the alleviation of the
soccage in accordance with
10) their custom; and also that no-one should take up abode in one
of their monasteries, either
11) within or without the noble [city of ] Jerusalem,
12) and that their affairs be conducted appropriately,
13) that their abode suffer no neglect, no damage and no fear
14) and may he treat all their affairs with courtesy, [in this] requiring
no re-examination by virtue of this [high command].
