In view of the upcoming ENC Division 1 game against Georgia, we met with our Georgian teammates and good friend Irakli Abuseridze (Abu) to a small interview. Irakli is currently the captain of the Georgian "Lelos", and with 54 Länderspieleinsetzen (10 of them as captain), he is a real veteran. The 31-year-old took Halbspieler already at two World Cups, and his major goal is the third World Cup 2011 in New Zealand.
Alex & Clemens: Hi Abu, when you play RC Orleans with 3 Germans in the team, it's something special for you, with the Georgian national team to play against Germany?
Abu Hello Rugby Germany, now I wait a long time that Germany finally creates the climb, so I finally can play against you (laughs).
I know you both quite good, and yes even your trainer (technical advisor) Bruno Stolorz I know very well, I look forward to the game and na clearly it is something special, because we are only in training face.
Alex & Clemens: You were already so with the Georgian team 7er repeatedly in Heidelberg. What do you expect there will you?
Abu: I am very excited, yes you are a completely new opponent for us and I really do not know what awaits us, although I have a couple of times against Germany played in seven - but never in the Fifteen, I'm really excited.
Alex & Clemens: Germany is Ascended in Division 1, you have this group in the last season won ... sounds a bit like David against Goliath, do you think the German team is against you can keep up?
Abu: That we, the role of the clear favorite take is clear! Our team consists mainly of players who are in French Topclubs are under contract, the question whether the German team because they can keep themselves only answer I can not say because I have little to know. But I will be a special eye on the two of you have (he laughs)!
Alex & Clemens: The preparations of the German national team were due to financial problems are not just the best, what did you prepare as a team before a game of Division 1?
Abu: We were in last November for 10 days with a very young team, without our top players, two in Scotland Match, which we are both very lost.
On Monday we will then meet with the entire team in Massy (Paris) to prepare. From Thursday, we will later on Sunday and it goes directly to Georgia to prepare for our first home game this year against Portugal.
Alex & Clemens: in the press worldwide, the continuing conflict between Georgia and Russia for a lot of attention, how will it be to play against Russia and the conflicts are an additional motivation when it comes to the colors of your country überzustreifen?
Abu: It is always something special to play against Russia. The games are always full of fight, physically very hard, but we have since 12 years is no longer directed against Russia lost! I think the war is in this encounter certainly play a role, it is even harder, and the Russians are even more effort to win, but we will do everything possible to ensure that it is not as far as coming! The policy, I am interested in, but we are sportsmen and not politicians, we can see the political problems are not solved on the pitch! Because of the war game will be in Ukraine on a neutral ground to take place.
Alex & Clemens: There are over 20 Georgen in France two highest leagues and numerous other like you in the Federal 1st Will you be with your best team in Heidelberg, finally, it also points in the World Cup qualifiers to collect?
Abu: Our coach Tim Lane (already trained the "Wallabies", the "Springboks", Clermont and last Toulon) already indicated after the Test tour to Scotland, that he based on the important World Cup qualifiers for all opponents no matter what Players will get. In the last season we played in Spain at that time climber with a "third" team and were surprised (end was 31-17 for Spain), which allows us then at the end of the title almost cost us this error is definitely not happen again.
Alex & Clemens: Finally, a tip from you, how will the game between Georgia and Germany?
Abu: The most important thing for us is a victory, I know the enemy too little to here must have a hint, but I can promise you that we have the game determined not to be taken lightly. (grins)
Alex & Clemens: Thank you Abu.
Abu: Thank you.
