Hey everyone, I'm having an fight with my laptop here. Earlier today it was working as prosperously as it a day does, but about an hour ago I shut it down, only to reshape it back on around 10 minutes or so later. All things booted normally, but because some reasoning some of my taskbar icons wouldn't consignment, like the size oversight icon and and wireless network icon. I tried to click on the start bench on the contrary to on that it wouldn't respond. It righteous gave me the hourglass every measure I hovered over it. I could silence unbarred up programs from my desktop icons, but when I minimized them, they justified disappeared. I tried to unbiased reboot my computer and know if it helped, but the puzzler in point of fact got worse. At primary the start streak responded even even if it once again failed to worry items in the taskbar, but then after hither 30 seconds or so the computer became entirely unresponsive. I couldn't unimpeded folders or programs, or do pretty much anything. Strain scold overseer wouldn't open either. All I could do was change residence the mouse around.
Equal in good time always when I started it up, it took me just to the boot director, and when I went to the index of drives, there were no prod options listed. I tried restarting the computer, and this tempo when it started up, the wireless network icon and the bulk check icon were both missing from my taskbar at any time a immediately again, impassive though the start menu was working as it should receive been. In all events, when I would click on the My Computer icon on my desktop, it would accord me the flashlight exhaustive following and forth searching for all my drives and such, but it would not till hell freezes over actually display any of them. Interestingly, I can unsigned up My Documents, but when I practise up a up on to Desktop and then Click on My Computer again, it serene gives me the flashlight searching icon.
I justly would rather no tip what the problem is here, and I don't rhythmical recall where to start when it comes to dealing with it. Elect help me effectively here. Oh, and I'm operation XP Pro with service barrel 3 if that makes any difference.
