Bus drivers to be replaced by robots under Westminster 'tech nation' scheme
Driverless robo-buses could soon be ferrying passengers around Britain under government plans to turn the UK into a "tech nation".
Culture minister Ed Vaizey claimed that artificially intelligent automated vehicles will be on British streets within five years - with potentially devastating consequences for human bus drivers.
In the coming decades, technology is expected to destroy huge numbers of working class jobs.
